Genuine Mockturtle (400g). This traditional dish - made from the very leanest meat, succulent dumplings, and fresh mushrooms in a tastily seasoned sauce - is one that has now featured in the Meica range for a period of several decades. It is prepared in accordance with an old Ammerland recipe handed down over generations. This delicacy can be traced back to the English turtle soup popular in the nineteenth century; “mock turtle” is, as the name suggests, the imitation version made from non-turtle meat.
